So Long, 2011

My final post of 2011 comes just before Christmas this year. My last post reported Osama Bin Laden was dead. I stopped blogging after that post because of the significance of that event in history. In 2012, I hope to write more here about random topics.

Since my last post was in May, here are some of the highlights of the past year

- I managed to stay with my company

- (July '11) We did not sell our condo, unfortunately, as badly as we wanted to sell it. Our realtor from re-max was a douchebag. He took forever to respond to my emails and took it upon himself to not do what I asked him to do. I won't use his name here but he was more interested in terminating our contract than anything else.

- (July '11) Dana, Aidan & I went on our first family vacation to Chestnut Grove in the Pocono mountains in PA. It was nice to be together and it was great to hang out with our Maryland friends Joanna, Paul, Alex & Julien. Without them, the trip would probably have sucked. The place is a dump but the staff was very nice. We started in one of the poolside bungalows for about 2 hours. The rain poured and flooded in front of the cabin and inside of the cabin. We ended up getting a room in the lodge. This was one of the longest weeks of my life but it was nice to be with my family.

- Aidan began getting teeth and started crawling towards the end of the summer. He has managed to start walking alot more now before resorting to crawling.

- We had Aidan's birthday pasrty on Nov. 5th to celebrate his 1st birthday. This was quite a bit of fun. The food was good and we had a great turnout for a 1 year old.

- December 17th our family welcomed a new cousin, Phoenix Storm Sessa! (Congrats Pete, Nadine & Cygnus!)

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. This will be the first Christmas Aidan is mobile enough to play a little with the other kids. This should be a lot of fun!

We don't have any plans for New Year's yet but I'm sure it will include going out to eat somewhere and picking up a 6 pack and sitting home to watch the ball drop. I'll likely be in bed by 12:15am Jan 1st.
